200 people dead in Turkish mine explosion

200 people dead in Turkish mine explosion

At turkey over 200 men have died following an explosion in a Turkish mine.So far only 350 people have been accounted for from nearly 800 in the mine.

A huge rescue operation is under way to reach hundreds of trapped miners. Currently oxygen is being pumped underground top help with the efforts.The mine is in Soma in the Manisa province and it is believed that an electrical fault triggered the blast.

Hundreds of worried relatives have gathered near the mine which is about 450 kilometres west of the capital Ankara.
